Lokayukta Organisation, UP Marks Independence Day with Flag Hoisting, Pledge and Tree Plantation Drive

Lucknow: The Lokayukta Organisation, Uttar Pradesh celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a dignified programme dedicated to patriotism, faith in the Constitution and the spirit of civic duty. Justice Sanjay Mishra, Lokayukta of Uttar Pradesh, hoisted the national flag at the organisation’s premises, after which officers and staff present pledged their commitment to the nation’s unity, integrity and constitutional values.

The flag-hoisting ceremony was attended by Deputy Lokayuktas Shambhu Singh Yadav, Dinesh Kumar Singh and Surendra Kumar Yadav, Secretary Dr Reema Bansal, Chief Investigating Officer Tripurari Mishra, Joint Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Public Relations Officer Avnish Sharma, along with other officers and employees of the organisation.

On the occasion, all personnel of the Lokayukta Organisation took an oath as responsible and duty-bound citizens of India, pledging loyalty to the dignity of the Constitution, the unity and integrity of the country, and democratic and national ideals. They reaffirmed their resolve to discharge their official responsibilities with complete honesty, transparency, impartiality and dedication, and to give the highest priority to the spirit of public service.

The event also underscored the Lokayukta Organisation’s continued commitment to rooting out corruption, taking effective action against maladministration, and strengthening good governance and transparent administration.

The programme concluded with a tree plantation drive as part of the resolve for environmental protection and a greener Uttar Pradesh. The officers and employees present called for conserving the environment, enhancing natural resources, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for future generations.
